The Expedition - a success!!
The Norwegian team succeeded the attempt to do an unsupported crossing of the Greenland inland ice, without any form of external help or re-supply. The expedition carried all the equipment they needed in two sledges, each of 80 Kg. The expedition started in Kangerlussaq (Søndre Strømfjord) the 28th of Mars, and 720 km and 35 days later the expedition  reached their destination, Isertoq.

Born in Ålesund, Norway.  Received training in the Norwegian Army and are currently serving as an officer in the reserves. Educated at the University in Oslo in computer science, and earned the degree of cand scient. Currently working as manager for Adra Match AB in Stockholm. Main hobbies are skiing, canoeing and rafting.

 

 
The Route
The expedition set of at the airport in Kangerlussuaq. From the airport the expedition ascended up the "Sandflugtdalen"  to the icecap and a height called 660 (67º08N , 50º00W). This first leg is approximately 35km (two days). The next leg is from height 660 towards the old US army radar called DYE II (66º39N - 46º18W). This leg is about 210km (10 days). From DYE II the expedition headed for the end of the icecap, about 45km north of Isortoq, located at (65º50N,39º00W). The third leg is the longest, about 430km (20days). The decent south to Isortoq is the last leg of approximately  45km (3days). In total the expedition covered 720 kilometers in 34 days.
