MC-130 Hercules from 7th Special Operation Squadron drop our equipment at the Drop Zone in South Greenland
After 15 seconds free falling, parachute opens. The first parajump over the Inlandice in history.
They had to climb up and down a rock-face (160 metres) to come down from the glacier to start kayaking.
On way down to the sea in South. We named this mountain for "The Queen".
On the way to Cape Farewell, with drifting ice in front.
The kayak was heavy loaded, two persons and 100 kg equipment.
Resting time, time for writing diary.
Heavy loaded sledges. 175 kilo in the beginning.
When the wind condition was good, they used wind-sail, and could make big distances. But it became very hard for the body, and they got easily injured.
